A Commitment to the Environment

Frank’s real estate career has been marked by his sincere commitment to the environment and a conviction that quality development should always be in harmony with its natural surroundings. An avid hiker and fisherman, Frank has given many years of volunteer service to the non-profit environmental community, primarily providing strategic planning and fund-raising expertise.

He was a Founding Board Member of the Upper Sacramento River Exchange, an organization created in the aftermath of the Cantara Loop railroad spill of 1991 that destroyed all plant and animal life along a 36-mile stretch of the upper Sacramento River. The Exchange is devoted to “promoting healthy watersheds through stewardship, restoration, education, and community involvement.” www.riverexchange.org

For eight years, Frank served on the Board of Trustees for California Trout (CalTrout), an organization with a mission to “Protect and Restore wild trout and steelhead waters throughout California". When Frank retired recently from the Board, he was awarded the title “Board Member Emeritus”. www.caltrout.org

Frank has also served on the Board of The Sacramento Tree Foundation, an organization devoted to “building the best urban forest for the Sacramento region”. Known nation-wide for its success in planting, education, and the preservation of Sacramento’s trees, the Foundation’s current goal is to plant five million new trees in the region by 2025. www.sactree.org
